It is with great excitement that I wish to invite you to register for the inaugural Breast Masters Symposium, 18-20 October 2018 in Sydney, Australia.
Aesthetic surgery of the breast is the single most commonly practiced area of surgery by plastic surgeons worldwide. In Australia alone, the number of women receiving breast implants has skyrocketed in the last decade from 5,000 per year in 2005, to 45,000 per year in 2015.
In an area where education and training has often been industry lead, our aim is to start an independent, advanced aesthetic symposium that is run by Specialist Plastic Surgeons who specialise in breast surgery, with free exchange of information and research in order to maintain the very best standards in the world.
Symposium highlights include:
- The first Australasian plastic surgery Symposium that is focussed specifically on aesthetic surgery of the breast
- Workshop format outlining the fine technical aspects of the field as well as the latest product research
- Scientific Partner – Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS)
- Endorsed by the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), the New Zealand Association of Plastic Surgeons (NZAPS), & the Singapore Association of Plastic Surgeons (SAPS)
- Workshops for the beginner as well as the very advanced practitioner
- Essential for all plastic surgeons with any interest in breast aesthetics
- Operative videos and multiple techniques presented by a very experienced local and international faculty
- Inaugural event guest Professor, Per Hedén

On behalf of the local faculty and myself we look forward to welcoming you to the inaugural Breast Masters Symposium in Sydney.

Dr Evan Woo
Dr Evan Woo is a Plastic Surgeon accredited by the Ministry of Health, who is noted for his specialisation in breast cancer surgery and reconstruction.
Dr Woo started with a broad-based training in plastic surgery, covering all aspects of reconstruction, wound and scar management, and aesthetic surgery.
Staying true to his belief that super-specialisation would provide a more nuanced understanding and therefore better outcomes for his patients, he furthered his training at The Nottingham Breast Institute on a Health Manpower Development Programme scholarship. There, he honed his skills in the advancing fronts of breast cancer surgery – microsurgical breast reconstruction and oncoplastic breast surgery.
Currently, he is one of a handful of surgeons in Singapore able to offer both the full range of options in breast cancer removal (lumpectomy / breast conservation surgery / oncoplastic breast surgery), and the full gamut of reconstructive options after both breast removal or breast conservation surgery (including use of perforator flap-free tissue transfer). This ensures a truly integrated and comprehensive breast surgery practice.
At the same time, Dr Woo’s aesthetic surgery practice is a perfect complement to his work in breast care. He has extensive experience in breast enhancement (augmentation, lifts, reductions and rejuvenation) and body contouring (tummy tucks, liposuction and fat grafting). Dr Woo’s youthful persona belies his experience in the surgery of the breast. As he has committed his practice to super specializing in breast surgery he has already performed several thousand surgeries.
Apart from his private practice, he still commits time to teach and mentor as a visiting consultant in both department of Plastic Reconstruction and Aesthetic Surgery (PRAS) and the department in KK Women’s and Children Hospital, Singapore’s premier hospital for women and children.
